YONEZAWA Fumio - Traveled to the U.S. in 2002 and became the first Japanese sous-chef at Jean-Georges’s flagship restaurant in New York City. Later returned to Japan to open his own restaurant “No Code” in 2022. In addition to running the restaurant, is also deeply involved in food-based social outreach activities as a lifework.

Now also on flights from New York - Popular a la carte (Japanese) menus created by Fumiko Kono that are served on flights from Japan are now available on flights from New York.

- Graduated top of her class from Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, a renowned culinary school. Worked as second chef at the three-star “L’Arpège” in Paris, which she left to become a Paris-based freelance chef, catering to top VIPs around the world. Currently lives in New York.
- Renewed cocktail menu
created by Shingo Gokan - Try cocktails created by Shingo Gokan, a leading bartender in Japan. A new cocktail using “KOKUTO DE LEQUIO”, made from Ryukyu Awamori, a type of single-distilled Japanese liquor, and Okinawa kokuto brown sugar is now available as well. Enjoy a moment of relaxation at the bar in the sky.

- Won the Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition 2012, which awards the world’s best bartender. Since winning the competition, he has won various other international awards,and was selected as the 5th bartender in “Bar World 100”, the highest ranking for an Asian. He is committed to promoting Japanese liquors such as Shochu and Awamori to the world, collaborating with domestic brewers. Currently working mainly in Tokyo, New York, Shanghai, and Okinawa.

The Airbus A350-1000 achieves significantly lower noise and fuel consumption than the Boeing 777-300ER of equal size by integrating innovative technologies.
In particular, fuel consumption is expected to improve by up to 25%*, thus significantly reducing emissions of CO2, etc.

- We will provide the MISOKA water-cleaning toothbrush, an original product of JAL made without petroleum-derived plastics, to celebrate the inaugural flight of the A350-1000.
This innovative toothbrush using nano-mineral coating technology cleans tooth stains simply by immersing it in water and brushing the teeth.

A kit produced by collaboration between Zero Halliburton, which is famous for its travel cases, and Heralbony is provided as an amenity bag.

- EXPRESS MEAL provides luxury and tasty meals that can be eaten easily. Meals are served when you like, giving you more time to spend freely.

- Foods from the ever-popular MUJI are available as limited well-being inflight meals only in JAL. These delicious meals have something for everyone thanks to MUJI’s experience with foods both in and outside of Japan.
- Upgrade to paid inflight meals
- Upgrade your inflight meals (for a fee) for a unique trip with your precious one or to treat yourself.

- We have been replacing disposable containers and lids made from non-recycled petroleum-based plastic with those made from paper and 100% recycled plastic.
From now on, we will use 100% plant-derived materials for repeatedly used utensils and cutlery bags to extend these activities.

- A new seat has been introduced, with functions for greater relaxation while keeping the wide legroom and seating comfort of the existing one, which won the World’s Best Economy Class Seat at Skytrax World Airline Awards for six consecutive years** As of 2023
- We offer a comfortable space with more legroom by adopting a new storage space layout around the knees. Moreover, the seat angle enables you to relax immediately after sitting down, for greater comfort during a long flight.
The cup holder can be used without extending the table and the seat pocket accommodates a plastic bottle, making your personal space wider.
All seats come with an AC socket and type A/C USB port.
